Summary only — the full Privacy Policy below governs. We do not use your uploads or handwriting to train third-party AI models.
1. Information we collect
- Account & identity: your email address and, if you use social sign-in, basic profile info from that provider.
- Payment information: subscription and billing status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Handwriting data: the handwriting template you upload and the character shapes (“Glyphs”) we extract from it.
- Content you upload: assignments (PDFs, images, text) and the Answer Keys generated from them.
- Usage & device data: log data, IP address, and basic device/browser information, used for security and reliability.
2. Sensitive & biometric information (handwriting)
Your handwriting template and extracted Glyphs are used only to render Answer Keys in your handwriting. Depending on your jurisdiction, this data may be considered sensitive or biometric information. We:
- collect it only with your consent, when you upload a template;
- use it solely to provide the handwriting-rendering feature to you;
- do not sell it or share it for advertising;
- do not use it to train third-party AI models;
- delete it when you delete your Glyph Library or your account, subject to limited backup retention.
If your jurisdiction gives you specific biometric-data rights, contact privacy@cursv.ai to exercise them.
3. How we use information
To provide, secure, and improve the Service; to process payments; to communicate with you; to prevent abuse and enforce our Terms; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI processing
When you solve an assignment, its contents are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate an Answer Key. We do not permit your content to be used to train third-party models. See our AI Disclosure.
5. Who we share with
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, to run the Service:
- Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage.
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription billing.
- Anthropic — AI provider that generates Answer Keys.
- Vercel — Web application hosting.
- Modal — Handwriting extraction and PDF rendering.
We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety, and in connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice where required).
6. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it, except where we must keep records (for example, tax and billing records) by law.
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the California CCPA/CPRA or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to opt out of certain processing, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. You can delete your account and associated data from your account settings, or contact privacy@cursv.ai. We will verify and honor valid requests as the law requires.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International users
We operate in the United States and process data there and with the providers listed above. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to this transfer and processing.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact privacy@cursv.ai.
